THE STORY

OF 12.

High above Atlanta, tucked into the tower at Ponce City Market, 12 has always been a little hard to find. We’ve decided that’s part of the fun.

We opened 12 in 2018 as a small cocktail bar at the very top of The Roof, a place to step away from the crowds, settle in with a really good drink and see Atlanta from a completely different point of view.

Over the years, 12 may have changed a little, but what we love about it hasn’t. It’s intimate without being exclusive. The cocktails are serious, but the bar doesn’t take itself too seriously. Come dressed up. Come as you are. Grab a seat at the bar, meet someone for a drink, stay longer than you planned.

And then there’s the hawk.

For years, a red-tailed hawk could often be spotted circling the tower and the rooftop below. Somewhere along the way, he started to feel like part of the place watching over the city from one of its best vantage points.

So we made him official.

Today, he’s the unofficial guide, mascot and occasional troublemaker of 12. You’ll find him tucked into the details around the bar, pointing you in the right direction and generally acting like the place belongs to him. And if you look outside, you may even spot the real thing circling the tower.

In a way, he captures what we want 12 to be: a little unexpected, a little irreverent and distinctly Atlanta.

Good people. Great views. Even better cocktails.

12 is up here. You’ll figure it out.
